Last week, I was watching the serial - "The Moment of truth" and man!, you need balls of steel to be sitting on the hot spot. Grueling questions or should I say answers to those questions and to make it all the more worse - you have to face your friends and family right there while you answer.
For those of you who haven't had the opportunity of seeing the show, I'l draw a snapshot.
There is one victim (read the contestant!) and he is asked questions which he simply has to answer in a yes or no. Sounds simple, yeah it does until you get to know that prior to the show, the contestant goes through a polygraph test wherein he is asked some qsns and the results of the polygraph tests are not told to the contestant. Then on the show, the same qsns are repeated and if the contestant answers these correctly (as determined by the polygraph), the contestant keeps winning!. Simple enough but now comes the interesting part - the questions...
A few qsns that I remember from the show:-
1. Have you ever stolen money from a sub-ordinate?
2. Have you prolonged having kids with your wife cos you were not sure that you love her?
3. Have you ever smuggled anything into the country?
And to all those questions, the contestants had answered a "YES"!
The guy who was asked the second question had his wife sitting in front of him when he answered. Imagine the plight! The wife was asked whether she would like him to continue playing or quit and all that she said - "I want to know more"..
Its strange but true - a person would rather let out his true feelings when he shall be rewarded monetarily than when he is not. Whats the use of all the money when ur own wife shall not want to be with you.. (oh well... u never know - maybe he actually did not want to be with her.. and that shall be another story altogether).
I was just a little taken aback when I saw the entire episode. For me, I'd rather do something that I'd be proud of. I would definitly want to sit on that hot seat one fine day and say a NO to all those qsns (though am sure then that episode would not be aired as there would be no gossip.. at all ) but to me - spice is not always the spice of life!!

Nursery Rhymes
I am with my cousins these days and have full access to all the textbooks of the first standard and am enjoying those. It refreshes your memory and brings back all the nostalgia... (aahhh...an awesome feeling). The best thing - you know everything!! (A feeling that does not come to me always ;) )
Coming to the point, I have always loved nursery rhymes/fairy tales and right now, I got to read so many of them...and my all time favourite:-
Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,
Oh wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house counting out his money,
The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey
The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!
I used to sing this rhyme a lot when I was a little girl and made sure my bro also knew each its words by heart - though am sure he doesn't remember any of it now!!! Yesterday, while I was repeating this in a loop, my grandmom also started humming the same. I was astonished - and the first thing I said with a surprised look on my face - "Aap ko bhi yeh aata hai??" (translated - "You also know this one??" ). Its such a legacy and somehow gets imprinted into the memory and imagine retrieving it after some 70 years.. truly amazing!! I hope I am able to do the same after such a long time as well...
Anyway, now I gtg.. loads of work pending...
PS - I really want to know if you haven't heard this rhyme before reading this piece.. do drop in a comment if u haven't :)

Crazy Funky Junky hat...
No na na no no no... I do not have a hat-fetish all of a sudden. Before reading this post, have a look at this video and pour in the comments..
Its a small dance sequence performed by 2 young girls - Alex and Harper (presumably best friends) of Wizards of Waverly Place fame, who start this cute thing as soon as they spot anyone wearing a "hat". So, the next time you see a hat... start the same!!!
The lyrics:-
What's that a hat
Crazy funky junky hat
Overslept hair unslightly
Tryin ta look like Keira Knightley
We've been there weve done that
We see right through your funky hat
Well, according to me, its a very cute and teen thing to do and so blogged it in here... hope you like the video..
For details, you can watch the program - Wizards of Waverly Place which is aired on Disney Channel, Mondays to Fridays sometime after 8 o clock.. (I cant seem to remember the times of shows...)
PS - Holidays are the best thing especially if you can watch all such stuff...
